本作是自09年10月推出的同名游戏以来最新推出的新作。爆丸这种球状的东西，就是用手指跟手发射，使之在一种叫做“门卡”的东西上瞬间变形的竞技类动作卡片游戏，目前已经在全世界80个国家盛行。本作是以动画版爆丸战士第二季动画为题材，原创而来的游戏作品。玩家将和原作动画的主人公们一起向野心占领地球的组织HEX发起奋战。
游戏将包含冒险模式和直接操作爆丸展开华丽战斗的战斗模式两个部分。各部分的游戏画面已经得到公开。
